Lei Cheng Uk Nursery School wins the Pre-school Category Outstanding Award of the 17th Hong Kong Green School Award

Our School won the Pre-school Category Outstanding Award of the 17th Hong Kong Green School Award (HKGSA), namely Parents' Participation in Environmental Activities, for its achievement in enhancing environmental awareness of the management, teachers, staff, students and their parents, developing environmental friendly attitudes and promoting green practices. Mr Wong Kam-sing, the Secretary for the Environment, presented the award to encourage awardees to continuously promote environmental protection.

The HKGSA has been organised by the Environmental Campaign Committee, Environmental Protection Department and Education Bureau since 2000, co-organised by the Education University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Productivity Council and Vocational Training Council. This award scheme aims at encouraging schools to formulate a school environmental policy and implementing an environmental management plan to achieve the goal of green schools.
