The Technology-enhanced Table Tennis (TeTT) Training Programme of our Continuing Care & Health Service (CCHS) won the 'HKMA/HKT Global Innovation Award 2024' - Special Award for Non-Governmental Organisations (Large Organisation). The organiser HKMA received more than 270 entries this year. The award ceremony was held at the 'HKMA Global Innovation Day' to commend organisations from different sectors for their outstanding innovative initiatives.
Through the flexible use of technologies and integration of professional intervention theories, our TeTT Training Programme has provided systematic table tennis training for the elderly with dementia to improve their cognitive abilities and avoid their physical and cognitive impairments that prevent them from enjoying the fun and benefits of exercise.
