'Let's enjoy it with the presence of each other.' The grandma in the play said, letting go of her fixation on the presence of everyone in a family dinner. Dispute, alienation, and reconciliation more or less occurs in every family, which is also the story depicted in Hong Kong Family as its title suggests.
From December 2022 to February 2023, we held movie sharing sessions for social welfare workers, service users, and partners from various sectors, discussing the social issues reflected in Hong Kong Family, such as young generation struggling with family problems, carer support, etc. Director Eric Tsang and guest speakers Professor Timothy Leung Yuk Ki from Department of Social Work of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Mr Fung Kwong Chi, Principal of Society of Boys' Centres Shing Tak Centre School, and Mr Pang Yi Ming, the founder of Book Punch shared views on the related issues from diverse perspectives.
