CS Service:Project THC helps cannabis users establish positive living attitude

According to government statistics, the number of people using cannabis in Hong Kong is increasing, reaching nearly 1,000 in 2021. Cannabis is also the most commonly used drug among young people under 21. As different countries legalise cannabis, there are voices in society challenging the discourse that 'cannabis is a drug' and even downplaying its effects on physical and mental health.

Funded by Beat Drug Fund, the two-year 'Project THC - Stratified Cannabis Users Intervention' was launched on 1 August 2022, with 'Treatment', 'Health', and 'Connection' as its core values. Through various methods, including individual counselling, social and spiritual support groups, and medical support services, it provides a platform for cannabis users to review and discover the meaning and effects of taking cannabis as well as building a positive living attitude.
