CS Service：Soul Net - Mental Health Support Scheme for the Elderly

 

According to government statistics, the elderly population in Kwun Tong District will reach 190,000. It has also been the district with the lowest median income in Hong Kong for four consecutive years. This makes it the district with the largest elderly population and weaker economic capacity. In addition, the pandemic over the past three years has harmed the mental health of the elderly. As a result, the elderly in Kwun Tong District face various difficulties.

To address this, we launched the 'Soul Net - Mental Health Support Scheme for the Elderly' in Kwun Tong District in May this year, with funding from the Mental Health Advisory Committee. We aim to identify and help elders needing mental health support as early as possible. By promoting cross-sectoral cooperation, we hope to strengthen support systems for the elderly and build a mental health-friendly community.
