Introduction

Under the subvention of Social Welfare Department, M.O.T.I.ON – Multicultural Outreaching Team for InclusiON has been established since March 2020. The Team deploys a reach-out approach to identify and engage people from multicultural backgrounds with the aim of providing early intervention for those at stake or with service needs. We also act as a gateway for multicultural individuals to get access to mainstream services and to give referrals as appropriate. The Team will also provide a variety of support services to service users to cultivate mutual support networks in the community and establish an inclusive society.

Service Objectives

  • Reaching out to multicultural individuals in need through early identification and intervention;
  • Helping connect multicultural individuals to mainstream services and giving referrals as appropriate;
  • Building the capacity of multicultural individuals to address and cope with their difficulties;

  • Providing professional training programmes for frontline workers in mainstream services.
