The Child-Friendly Cities initiative, led by the United Nations, aims to unite governments and various stakeholders—including non-governmental organisation, business, and media—to collaboratively build child-friendly cities.
In response to the feedback gathered from 1,531 children across 14 schools, we are excited to launch a Territory-wide Child-Friendly Award Scheme. This scheme encourages restaurants to incorporate child-friendly elements in their environments, including tableware and staff attitudes, ensuring that dining experiences for children are both safe and enjoyable.
Restaurants wishing to join the Child-Friendly Award Scheme must meet at least three of the following criteria:
Recognition and issuance of the "Child-Friendly Label" to qualifying restaurants for public identification.
All restaurants in Hong Kong are eligible to participate.
Restaurants complete the application form and submit it via email (childfriendlyas@hkcs.org).

Confirmation notice will be received within 14 working days and restaurants information will be published on the Scheme's website
