Jockey Club Digital Tablet and Online Support Programme for Homebound Elderly

 

Introduction

The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust has initiated and funded the Jockey Club Digital Tablet and Online Support Programme for Homebound Elderly. Bliss OPlus is one of the designated service units for launching the programme from 1 May 2024 to 30 September 2026.

 

 

Objectives

Through volunteers, digital and physical teaching is carried out to help the elderly who lack digital network support use various practical functions and applications of tablet computers, leading them to integrate into technological life.

 

 

Content

  • To facilitate the acquisition of tablet computer proficiency among elderly through individual and group basis training for enhancing their competence in information technology.
  • To provide various online activities such as sports and health education, cognitive training, leisure and social course, etc., to meet the diverse needs of the elderly.
  • To conduct training for volunteers to effectively respond to and support the needs of the elderly.

 

 

Service Target

Hong Kong residents aged 60 or above including singleton and doubleton
