The rapid increase in the number of psychotropic substance abusers attracted much public attention in the mid-80s. PS33 was established in March 1988, which became the first centre that provides non-residential detoxification and counselling services for psychotropic substance abusers. We have started to provide anti-drug programmes and workshops for schools in Kowloon West District since 2002. In 2010, PS33 was re-structured and divided into PS33 - Tsimshatsui Centre and PS33 - Shamshuipo Centre.
PS33 - Shamshuipo Centre provides secondary schools in Shamshuipo District with various anti-drug programmes including talks, lunchtime activities and groups. We also offer educational talks and training workshops to parents and teachers. Besides, we provide free lending services of portable exhibition boards promoting healthy lifestyles and harmful effects of drugs for schools or other related social service groups.
Walk-in or call the hotline to contact our social workers for enquiry and make application. We also accept referrals by the other parties and social service units.
Service users can discuss with the responsible social workers about the services termination.
