Beliefs and Objectives
Our service mode is under the direction of "Child-centred, Family-focused and school-based". We put care and compassion into action, fostering a nurturing environment that caters to each child's unique needs and facilitates their growth.
Service Objectives
- Child-centered: To foster positive character and unleash potentials of kindergarten children
- Family-oriented: To enhance parents'/ carers' parental skills to meet children's needs in different developmental stages
- Partnership with school: To collaborate with school personnel in guidance policies and systems establishment; to enhance teachers' awareness in crisis identification and skills in proper handling; to facilitate home-school cooperation in child development
Service Contents
Students' Support
- Casework & Counselling: Individual interviews, trainings/groups, home visits, assessments, referrals to community resources
- School Adjustment Activities: K1 new student orientation, K3 transition to primary school
- Character Capital Development Activities: Positive character, moral/life education, sex education
- Emotional Health Development Activities: Emotional management, problem-solving skills, self-confidence enhancement
- Social Intelligence Development Activities: Social thinking, peer relationships, sportsmanship
- Learning Intelligence Development Activities: Early identification and referral of special educational needs, attention training, self-care skills, enhancing learning motivation
Parents' Support
- Counselling, Consultation & Referral: Overcoming parenting challenges, supporting childcare, and caregiver stress reduction.
- Parenting Skills Activities (Lectures/ Workshops/ Tea Gatherings/ Groups): Understanding child development and needs, positive parenting.
- Parent-Child Communication Activities: Positive parent-child communication, outdoor family activities.
- Activities for parent growth: Parent support groups, parent volunteer training.
Teachers' Support
- Consultation: Exchanging information and opinions about students' learning, emotional, social, and behavioural aspects, and making appropriate referrals.
- Training: School crisis management, handling "difficult" parents, understanding of special educational needs, team building, counselling skills.
- Classroom Management: Fostering a positive classroom atmosphere, building a caring school culture.
- Crisis Management: Support for school crisis, early identification and handling of child abuse cases, family in crisis support.
- Introducing Community Resources: Mobilisation of community resources to support school development.
